Tiger Woods Camp Rejects Online Gambling Offer

Following recent international media coverage of Paddy Power’s negotiations with IMG to sponsor Tiger Woods, the company confirms that its initial offer covering a five year period for a total potential sponsorship of $75 million has been rejected by IMG. Paddy Power remains keen to work with Tiger Woods, and will re-engage with IMG. An enhanced offer will be made, the details of which will remain confidential.

Dennis Rodman Signs with Online Poker Site, OnlyPoker

It’s been a few years since former NBA star Dennis Rodman has been on the court, but this hasn’t stopped Only Poker from pursuing him to represent their room. And recently, their pursuit paid off as an anonymous employee of Only Poker said they’ve signed the 6′8" Rodman.

The poker website now features a picture of Rodman wearing an Only Poker cap with the logo "The Bad Boy is Back" next to him. The signing of Rodman makes sense because Only Poker is part of the Cake Poker Network, which markets heavily to US players. And many Americans remember Dennis Rodman as the eccentric power forward who played for the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls.

Men’s Olympic Hockey Championship Line: USA +140

The Men’s Olympic Hockey Championship line for Canada vs. USA continued to sit at +140 for the United States at BetUS.com (see website here).   Canada was getting significant betting action as of Saturday night as a -210 favorite.

Dave Bond of BetUS.com had this to say about Sunday’s Championship game: "Sunday’s Gold Medal final is one that not many predicted but is one that is deserved. Like it or not, the Canada-US rivalry has supplanted the Canada-Russia rivalry that dominated the International Hockey world for the past 40 or so years. "Canada will battle nerves but I think that they learned enough from their 5-3 loss to the Americans during the Round Robin to improve and defeat Team USA for Gold on Home Ice. &

NASCAR Betting and Danica Patrick

Both the online sportsbooks and Las Vegas establishments are counting on NASCAR betting, and to fuel those bets they are hopeful that Danica Patrick will at some point begin to make an impact.  To date, odds have not been offered on Patrick, but that could change soon.  Patrick is expected to do for NASCAR what Tiger Wood has done for golf.

Saturday’s Sam’s Town 300 Nationwide Series race will end the first phase of Patrick’s NASCAR tutorial before she focuses on her day job as an Izod IndyCar Series driver with Andretti Autosport, with whom she spent testing Wednesday and Thursday at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama, USA Today reports.

2010 Winter Olympics Odds: Speed Skating

BetUS.com has posted its 2010 Winter Olympics odds for the speed skating events.

"The United States hasn’t enjoyed any other event in the winner’s circle more often than speed skating.
