Hurricane Earl disrupts online casino – Online Casino News
Leading online casino and sportsbook Intertops.com has revealed that its services were temporarily disrupted due to the effects of Hurricane Earl passing over its Antigua home at the weekend.
The category three storm began battering the Caribbean’s Leeward Islands over the weekend before reaching Antigua on Sunday destroying homes and dumping at least five inches of rain with winds gusting to over 120 miles per hour.
Intertops.com is now back up and running but the site has warned customers that they may ‘experience a few hiccups which will be ironed out as soon as possible’.
The hurricane has now passed Antigua and is lying about 90 miles east-northeast of St Thomas. It is moving west-northwest at near 15 miles per hour and is expected to brush New York City and Boston by the end of the week before heading further out into the Atlantic Ocean.
