Online casino’s in Iceland
Iceland are one of the countries which still disallow online casino gambling in any form, despite their bad economic situation which could benefit from the infusion of cash brought in by online entertainment, popular in countries such as the UK.
The Icelandic government have very strict policies in place which prohibit many of the different types of online gambling despite the fact that a lot of the inhabitants love to indulge in many types of gambling.
There is currently a large media and citizen effort at the moment which aims to bring legalization to a portion or the entire online gambling market within Iceland.
Over the past few years, Iceland has been hit by the global financial crisis harder than other countries and because of this, there are many people who view the legalization of online gambling and online casino’s as a viable solution to bring in a flux of money into the country again.
The government have not publicly said that they are considering legalizing online gambling however with the pressure of the media and public aiming to have it legalised, it could be a solution to the economic problem.
