Mosley on Mayweather: “I am Stronger, Faster, Better”

Shane Mosely believes he can beat Floyd Mayweather Jr.   Whether words translate into reality remain to be seen.

Said Mosley this week: "I have always wanted to fight Floyd and now it is finally coming true. I am already in great shape and ready to show everyone on May 1 that I am stronger, faster and better than he is. I will have no problem beating him."

Should his promise come to fruition that’s great news for gamblers who can currently bet Mosley online at $100 and potentially win $260 at SBG Global.

The May 1 bout promises to be a major draw for gamblers and boxing fans alike. <

2010 Winter Olympics Odds: Speed Skating

BetUS.com has posted its 2010 Winter Olympics odds for the speed skating events.

"The United States hasn’t enjoyed any other event in the winner’s circle more often than speed skating. While it certainly doesn’t have the glory of ice hockey, nor the historical significance of the alpine ski events, it remains a thrilling event and one where you can stockpile your Vancouver Winter Olympics bets for solid payback," writes Tim Furious of BetUS.com.

Some important considerations is that Americans have won a grand total of 63 medals in speed skating, leading all countries with 28 gold medal victories. N

99 percent of superbowl sports bets are illegal

In an op-ed piece that appeared in the Washington publication Roll Call, Representative Jim McDermott this week reinforced calls for a more pragmatic approach to sports betting by Congress.

In his article titled “All Bets Are Not Off on Super Bowl Sunday” McDermott highlights how an expected “…99% of wagers on the Super Bowl will be placed illegally online or through a bookmaker, where consumers have no legal protections and are left vulnerable to exploitation.”

The proliferation of illegal betting reinforces how government efforts to prohibit online gambling have failed, which, Rep. McDermott argues, should encourage Congress to adopt a more sensible policy approach.

2010 Super Bowl Bet We Think Is A Winner

A 2010 Super Bowl bet we believe could come through for savvy sports bettors relates to the Super Bowl Margin of Victory betting.

No, Gambling911.com doesn’t have the magic answer as to where the score will end up but there is a strategy that could work to maximize value based on pricing per certain bets.

First, let’s ask this question:  Where do you think the score will land?

Oddsmakers at Sportsbetting.com have been reluctant to move above Colts -6, and probably with good reason.  Most believe this will be a tight game.  Close doesn’t mean the Colts can’t win by a touchdown or even 10 points for that matter.

Iowa Wants Legalized Sports Betting

Rod Boshart | Globe Gazette

DES MOINES – Iowa gamblers would be able to legally wager on sporting events if Congress and the Iowa Legislature play ball.

Two Democratic senators introduced separate measures Thursday seeking to give the state Racing and Gaming Commission authority to allow state-licensed racetracks and riverboat casinos to offer sports betting to patrons if a federal prohibition is lifted.

"I think we ought to have sports betting in Iowa," said Senate President Jack Kibbie, D-Emmetsburg. "They’re probably betting on them anyway, but we’re not getting any tax. I think it would raise a lot of money.

UFC 109 has a lot of big UFC odds favorites and that is somewhat unusual.  Couture is  -450 in UFC odds at SBG Global for his bout against Coleman.  Not many people are giving Coleman much of a chance.  These two fighters were supposed to meet almost 12 years ago in UFC 17 but Couture was injured and pulled out.
