State of Washington to Ban Internet Gambling the Press Releases Confirmed (update)
The number of online gambling companies who have been stepping forward with the news on stop order on PRWeb has been increasing.
With the number of online gambling companies who are coming forward with a lot of news on the state of Washington’s stop order increasing, the fact of the earliest news on the ban is being confirmed(check previous InfoPowa reporting)
According to the reporting PRWeb offers service to distribute toward business type of press releases and is supposed to inform the online gambling customers in the corporate sector. But the online gambling customers cannot accept any more of their material after the stop order from the commission of gambling from the state of Washington.
The move that Washington State has made against internet gambling initially was regarded as being too extreme. It has been found that the editorial staff of PRWeb has been asked by the management to “not publish releases which promotes or even be connected in any way to online gambling or about related websites. This sort of shift in the editorial that has been made by permissible considerations and puts us on the same page because other big companies like Yahoo and Google are taking a stand for the online gambling in the United States ”
A Note to PokerSource website made clear the explanation, which advised PRWeb that it has received a stop order letter from the State of Washington’s Gambling commission wanting to stop the circulation of press releases related to online gambling sites and their content.
There is an estimated 5% of rise in affliction of PRWeb’s businesses because of the ban; many of the contracts that were cancelled have been offered a refund, and the third party service providers would feel that the new restriction is a little expensive.
The parent company of PRWeb, Vosuc Group which is based in Maryland has been approached repeatedly by InfoPowa because of the ban.
The state of Washington has been accruing some activity for its tough approach toward online gambling while letting many ways of land gambling. Washington has even gone to the limit of grading online gambling as a Class C felony making it more punishable that usual serious crime.
The industry observers see the PRWeb can as a threat toward the freedom of speech and which will affect a lot of the online gambling companies that use the service for distributing press material
